You may have noticed the significant change in the ‘look and feel’ of the Kozmic Bubble - this is because I’ve been playing around with it using Panic Software’s Coda, largely as a way of teaching myself how CSS works. I’ve been trying to get this page looking lighter and airier, the old page is somewhat imposing and dark (and looks purple when I look at it on my iMac…) Unfortunately, this layout doesn’t display entirely correctly using IE, but who cares about IE users, eh…
We’ve been thinking about revamping the Phantom Rouge website, as well. Last year when I originally designed it I had practically no web development skills, now I think I’m starting to understand how to make stuff that looks good without being bloated. The HTML and CSS code of the Phantom Rouge site is a real mess, and the site looks pretty ugly as a result - particularly the tables on the gallery pages. I managed to rewrite the site so it looks much more spacious, and has a lovely javascript gallery, in about a quarter of the space of the old Phantom Rouge site. It’s not the final design of the website, of course, but you can have a look at it here if you like!
