I think the coolest feature of Inquisitor is the ability to add search engine shortcuts so that it’s really easy to perform searches on specific sites really quickly, so here’s the ones that I’ve set up:
To set these up, you go to Safari Preferences and then click the ‘Search’ tab (far right). At the bottom there’s three checkboxes. Make sure the one saying ‘Display Links To Additional Search Engines’ is ticked, and then go to ‘edit sites…’ Click the Plus button and select ‘New custom search shortcut…’
Site Name: Wikipedia
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=%@&go=Go
My Shortcut: Cmd-W
Notes: Differs from the standard Wikipedia Search shortcut as this automatically takes you to a Wikipedia article if one matches your search
Site Name: Mininova
URL: http://www.mininova.org/search/%@/seeds
My Shortcut: Cmd-M
Site Name: Demonoid
URL: http://www.demonoid.com/files/?category=0&subcategory=All&quality=All&seeded=0&external=2&query=%@&uid=0&sort=S
My Shortcut: Cmd-D
Notes: The Demonoid and Mininova searches also automatically sort the results by number of seeds (descending)
Site Name: Ultimate Guitar Archive
URL: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/search.php?s=%@&w=songs
My Shortcut: Cmd-G
Notes: Only searches by song, not by artist
I think it’s AWESOME
