And we all breathe a sigh of relief...
Even I can’t believe it. It’s amazing. It’s not even the DAY of the deadline yet - not for another 40 minutes! Yet still I have in front of me two reports, beautifully printed on snow-white paper, lovingly stapled and enwrapped in crisp, fresh, German plastic folders.
That’s right, my coursework is done for now, and there’s only three assignments left this year!...

Stu's Meal List (Or not...)
No meal list this week - End of the month, eating through the stuff in the freezer.
Mostly hotpot (yum!)
In the beginning I’m recalling

– I Know More - Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Watched ‘Mona Lisa Smile’. Pretty good - a bit like Dead Poet’s Society for girls, but without the really good bits. Entertaining, though. We’ve almost caught up on Heroes, aswell. Watched 17 out of the 18 episodes that are out. Exciting stuff.
Apart from that, not much to report. One week till Easter! I’ve only got two assignments left to rush in before I get three...

Greendave’s Top 24 Songs Ever
They’re definitely in the wrong order, but there’s mre disagreements than that, I think… There’s no Oasis, for a start! Even more disturbing is the absence of The Beatles. I think The Masterplan, at least, deserves a spot. I’d lose Clocks, Harder To Breathe, She’s Not There, and probably Would I Lie To You.
In their...

Would I still have to deal with my blocked nose?

Anyway, another Wednesday, another mad rush to get my coursework in on time. I handed in Electronic Systems today and it’s Electronic Communications Technology tomorrow. Music Business and Computer Music Production next Thursday, and then I’ll only have Audio Systems, Studio Techniques and C++ Programming to worry about…

More on R-2R Ladders
Following On From Here…
Diagram of a 4-bit DAC based on an R-2R Ladder
My understanding runs thus…
At the ‘bottom’ of the ladder, there’s a resistor of value 2R connected to ground. In parallel with this is another 2R, connected either to ground or to the output. going into point Y above, the resistance is therefore R (2 2R’s in parallel). At point X,...

I nearly made it all the way to the end of March 17th without posting a single thing on my Tumblelog.
Thankfully, I’ve managed to prevent this from occurring. You may all relax now.
The Barn has new chairs. They look amazing - I can’t wait to visit and try them out!
Transmission Ends
From my most recent piece of coursework… The R-2R ladder is an extremely effective...
One down...
Finished my coursework, handed in my coursework, then went to a preliminary meeting about a University of Derby podcast. I think I might have inadvertently become the editor of the video podcast, by the simple act of admitting that I’m pretty good with iMovie.
Anyway, the first thing that’s going to happen on this podcast, apparently, is a video tour of the new Markeaton campus...
OSX 10.4.9
USB video cameras can now be used in iChat. Not sure if that’s USB2.0 only, but its certainly interesting. I wonder if you can use them with iMovie now aswell.
End Of An Era
While I desperately try and finish my Sound Reinforcement Systems coursework to get it in by 5PM tomorrow, I’m taking a moment off to reflect on the passing of Stargate SG-1
I watched the last episode last night, and I quite enjoyed it. Kev didn’t seem to think there was enough action - there were only THREE huge spaceships exploding, after all! It was funny in places, though, and I...
Typographical Pulp Fiction
| EXPLICIT!!!!!! | (Can’t say I didn’t warn you…)
Very cool typographic version of the ‘What Does Marcellus Wallace Look Like?” scene from Pulp Fiction. Created by Jarratt Moody. Contains Bad Language. I’m not referring to split infinitives.

While we’re on the explicit tag and the Pulp Fiction theme, there’s also a...

Tumblelog Widget
I’ve been mucking about with DashCode: My first widget is fed by an aggregated RSS feed and puts this tumblelog, GreenDave’s tumblelog and NJ’s new Tumblelog right onto your Dashboard! The best thing is that it couldn’t have taken more than 10 minutes to make, and I didn’t write a single line of code or HTML or anything. Very neat.

New Colours
I know what you’re thinking - what was wrong with green?!
Well, I’m thinking I like blue a little more - it’s my favourite colour after all. It took me a little while to find shades of blue that aren’t imposing or garish, but I think I’ve managed it. I’m going for a slightly sophisticated look, while still retaining a fun feel. I’m also enjoying the...

Saturday Blues
Loads of work to get done. Sound Reinforcement Systems is just too huge a module. Got 6 Assignments to hand in before Easter, and 2 to hand in afterwards. Then I’ve got 8 exams.
Just half-watched ‘Numberjacks’ with Kayleigh. Kids TV is insane. Bunch of numbers running around to the Mission Impossible theme. Mr Tumble is on now. He does sign language. I imagine a Mr Tumble...

Green Frog
1 shot Baileys
1 shot Creme De Menthe.
Pour the creme de menthe into a shot glass, place a teaspoon in the glass at the top of the creme de menthe and pour the baileys over the back of the spoon, so it floats on top of the creme de menthe.
Drink it in one and swill it round your mouth.
Tastes like drinking After Eights :)
Cheers to Kev, for introducing this to me

The End Of A Tumbly day
Just a quick note, I’m going to go to bed in a minute. I’ve discovered the Tumblelog concept and I think it’s a great one. My first evening of Tumbling has proven to me that I could be in serious trouble with this time wasting device.
It’s a bit of a shame you can’t have comments like a normal blog - I have no idea if anyone’s coming here or reading any of...
